Welcome to the Meditation Challenge, 2024.

Hello and welcome to the Meditation Challenge 2024. I am extremely happy to have you join us in starting the new year by making stress reduction, better health and self-care a priority.



For the next forty days, set aside a time and place where you will meditate daily for at least 2 minutes. When we sit to meditate at the same time and place every day, our mind and body get accustomed to the ritual, and we also change the vibration of the place we meditate in. Ideally, this can be a place where you will not be disturbed for the duration of the meditation. However, if for any reason, there are days you cannot meditate in the same place or at the same time, it is perfectly okay. On those days you can meditate whenever and wherever you can. But please do not skip a day.


I encourage you to start small (2-5 minutes, once or if you wish twice) and gradually increase the time so that by the end of the challenge you will be meditating for 10-15 minutes.


We will meet over Zoom on January 2nd, January 22nd, and February 8th, at 5:30 pm EST. All live meetings are optional. Each week, starting January 2nd, I will post a meditation on my website under the blog posts. You can listen to these (this) mediations, or just sit in silence, observing your breath and if you wish, repeating a mantra with each inhale and exhale. If you are not listening to a recording, I suggest you set the timer for the time you plan to meditate.


As with all meditations, please make sure you will not be disturbed, and your attention is not needed elsewhere.


At the end of each meditation make sure you are alert, awake, and grounded before you go about your day, unless it is bedtime, and you plan to sleep right after!


Drink enough water throughout the day and you may like to note any sensations, visions, and insights you may have during the meditation as well as through the day.


It is a good idea to set an intention or ask a question before each session. This can be the same for the whole challenge or a different one each day/week.

Please set aside all expectations from yourself, the experience, and the meditation. Be dedicated to the practice. Do not expect that your mind will suddenly become quiet because you have decided to meditate. When you notice that your mind has gotten entangled in thoughts, gently, without judgment, bring it back to the breath & meditation.
